What’s more impactful than finding a career you love? I’ve spent the last few years reinvigorating the digital experience of legacy internet company, Monster, as the lead Product designer specializing in native mobile. This is a global cross-platform product reaching millions of users in 8 countries and languages.

Find the right fit.

Responsible for end-to-end design of the native app, I work in various agile scrum teams of developers and PMs, and have contributed many ideas for products and features that are redefining the user experience of the company.

Empower job seekers.

Job hunting is not an easy thing. Anxiety, high-stakes interactions, rejection, and fatigue are commonly associated with the task. While there is a certain amount of friction inherent to job searching, our aim is to empower users with as much knowledge as possible about what a job is like, and whether it’s a fit with their goals, experience, and values. Here’s the redesigned job details page.

Help them find the right fit.

On every job, a user with a completed profile can navigate to the “Fit” tab. Here they will glean invaluable insights as to how this job in particular aligns with their goals, values, and experience – and gives them actionable ways to improve the way they’re represented online to better reflect their strength as a candidate.

… and invite them to apply.

Sometimes we all need a little nudge. I came up with this concept that a chatbot, representing the company, could interact with the user while they peruse a job. The chatbot asks predetermined screening questions, and depending on the fit, invites them to apply. In the future, there could be handoff to a real person to have more robust conversations with great applicants.
